Hello Sharks Families,

What a great first week back in the water for our Sharks swimmers! We are so very happy to see so many swimmers and parents on deck! Please refer to our 2022 Sharks Practice Schedule for your swimmer's practice times (our practice schedule is based on the age of your swimmer).

Practice Gear

Please refer to the requested practice gear at: 2022 Practice Equipment. The coaches kindly ask that all swimmers have their requested practice equipment no later than the week of May 2. Need a gear bag to place your swimmers items in? Please contact Staci Tenczar or Katie Ciciarelli to purchase a customized Sharks gear bag for $20 (cash only).

Volunteers

As all returning Shadow Brook parents know (and new parents will find out), it takes a tremendous number of volunteers to make our swim team successful. For over 50 years, the Shadow Brook Sharks have thrived because of the generous volunteer parents we have. To ensure we have adequate coverage for every meet, each family is expected to volunteer for at least 5 shifts during the season and shift(s) at CHAMPS, which will be determined later in the season. It is through these activities that we get a chance to meet our fellow parents, encourage our swimmers and build a strong Sharks family. More information will be coming shortly with volunteer sign ups beginning Monday, May 2.

Fun Fridays!

Fun Fridays are a great way for our swimmers to celebrate their week of workouts and fun in the water. Additionally, it is a wonderful opportunity for parents to mingle and get to know their fellow Sharks parents better. Using the link provided, please sign-up to host a future Fun Friday event at: 2022 Sharks Fun Fridays!. We thank the Willey family for hosting our 1st Fun Friday of the season for our swimmers! While school is still in session, hosting a Fun Friday includes providing popsicles/otter pops for the swimmers and adult beverages & a light snack for the parents (for example, chips/salsa & margaritas). May 21 Adult-Only Sharks Parent Social

We thought it would be fun for our Sharks parents and coaches to welcome the 2022 season and mingle over drinks & tacos! It will be a great opportunity to get to know the new families and reunite with old friends. Please rsvp promptly on the google sheet attached noting the method of payment so we can finalize planning. Please note this will be an outdoor event at a private residence on Graystone Lane, masks are optional.

Date: May 21st

Time: 6:30pm

Cost: $15 per person

Payable by venmo (jayne willey @jayne-willey) or check payable to Jayne Willey placed in Willey family folder (please enclose the check in an envelop and mark your family name on the outside of the envelope)

Location: Private residence on Graystone Lane (address to be confirmed on RSVP)

What to bring: Yourselves and a bottle/ beverage to share - in addition to tacos soft drinks will be provided

Please note parking will be limited, we suggest carpooling or uber/lyft. If families are interested in sharing a ride with others and having some of our driver lifeguards act as a shuttle service please email [email protected] and we can look into organizing this for the evening.

Pop-Up at The Brook Raffle!

New to Shadow Brook this year, you can enter to have our early morning crew set up your personal pop-up for you at our THREE home meets (May 28, June 4 & June 18) this season in a prime position on the lawn ready for you to roll in in time for warm ups!
