News and Notes - Week of May 30

Hello Sharks Families and Friends,

Great effort, Sharks! While we didn't win the high point award against the Almaden Dolphins this past Saturday, we saw many improved swims. You should all keep your heads high! Ribbons and complete results can be found in the family files at the pool.

Away at Creekside

This weekend (June 3), we are away at the Creekside Cudas - not only will there be a high point winner but there will be an improved % winner as well. The improved % winner is the team that has the higher percentage of improved race times at that dual meet. Because of this, it is imperative that we don't have any swimmers missing their race(s) or simply deciding not to swim a certain stroke as an empty lane will only hurt our overall team's improved time percentage.

  • Our travel time to Creekside is roughly a 30 minute drive to their cabana, so please plan accordingly. All swimmers need to arrive by 7:15 AM with warm-ups beginning at 7:45 AM & team meeting at 8:15 AM.
  • Please be sure to check in with your Coach prior to leaving the meet!
  • When competing, your swimmer should only be wearing Sharks or generic suits and caps. No suits or caps with any other club or high school team or name lettering. And please, no rash guards.
  • Ice Cream Social! Volunteers needed! Please email Katie Ciciarelli or Valerie Waagen for complete details.
