You're Invited! Newbie Day is April 14! (4:45 - 5:30 PM)
Hello Sharks Families!
Welcome to our 2026 cabana season! Your swimmer is invited to a special first day of practice reserved only for our new Sharks swimmers (a.k.a. Newbie Day!). We are looking forward to seeing you and the details of the day are below. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us as [email protected].
Newbie Day
The first practice day for our new Sharks will be held on Tuesday, April 14, from 4:45 PM to 5:30 PM at our Shadow Brook Pool (1079 Shadow Brook Drive). Swimmer check-in and collection of the required $300.00 Volunteer Deposit Checks will begin at 4:30 PM. At 4:45 PM, we will walk the swimmers through a brief ‘tour’ of the pool area and answer any initial questions they may have. While the swimmers then head off to meet the coaches and have their first introduction to practice, we’ll take some time to share some information and answer any questions you may have. If you prefer to email your questions ahead of time, please feel free to do so at [email protected].
Items your swimmer(s) should bring on Tuesday, April 14, 2026:
- Swimsuit (please be sure it fits well enough to stay completely on during a dive)
- Cap* and goggles
- Towel
- Warm clothes for going home
* It is appreciated if every swimmer wears a swim cap during practice, but at a minimum, swimmers with longer hair are highly encouraged to do so (boys as well as girls).
In order for your swimmer to be eligible to swim on Tuesday, April 14, the following items need to be completed BEFOREHAND. We will NOT be collecting any requested HOA Contracts or payments other than the required $300 Volunteer Deposit Checks. We appreciate your attention to the below three items.
Items # 1 - 3 MUST be completed for your swimmer to attend their first practice.
1. Register your swimmer. The registration link, medical waivers and volunteer information for our 2026 cabana season are all now available on our swim team dedicated website at: 2026 Shadow Brook Sharks (you will need to create an account to register your swimmer).
2. Pay for your swimmer’s 2026 Sharks season via Condo Control. Instructions can be found at: Pay-Shark-Swim-Team-Registration-Fees.
3. Submit your family’s $300 Volunteer Deposit Check (please refer to the "Parent Responsibilities" section). Please make your check payable to Shadow Brook Sharks Swim Club or SBSC. You may bring your required Volunteer Deposit Check to Newbie Day on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 or drop off at Katie's home (1010 Shadow Brook Drive, 95120) by April 13, 2026.
Again, welcome to the 2026 Sharks Cabana Swim Season and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, April 14, at 4:45 PM.
Go Sharks!
