Meet Details! Arrive by 7:15 AM! AWAY at Santa Teresa (May 23)
Hello Sharks!
Our next dual meet of 2026 is AWAY at the Santa Teresa Otters (286 Sorrento Way, 95119) on Saturday, May 23. Please ensure you are not blocking driveways and congratulations to the Lee-Pidgeon Family for winning Spot in the Lot. You will find your saved parking space in their lot adjacent to their tennis courts.
The timeline for this meet against the Santa Teresa Sea Otters is as follows:
Gates open: 6:45 AM
Swimmers! Arrive no later than 7:15 AM!
Registration: 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM * If your swimmer is not signed-in/registered by 7:45 AM, they cannot swim *
Warm-ups: 7:45 AM - 8:00 AM 10 & Under
Warm-ups: 8:00 - 8:15 AM 11 & Up
Team Meeting: 8:15 AM (Swimmers only)
Timers & Recorders in Chairs: 8:15 AM
Meet Begins: 8:30 AM
From Our Sharks Coaches:
- Order of events: Medley Relay, Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, Free
Relay
- Relays will be happening at the beginning and end of the meet. Relay swimmers will be announced during the meet and may change.
- DO NOT leave the meet early unless it is approved by a coach, we need swimmers to stay in case they will swim in a relay and to cheer each other on
- Swimmers will swim a maximum of three events (decided by coaches), and are only allowed to scratch an event if approved by a coach
- Swimmers should write down their events and line up at the clerk at the course before their event begins
- Swimmers should be welcoming to the other team and be respectful by staying in the water until all swimmers touch the wall (25 yd) or the next heat dives over (50 yd)
- And remember to swim fast!!! GO SHARKS!!
Swimmers arrive no later than 7:15 AM! Warm-ups will begin at 7:45 AM. Please note - whichever events your swimmer registers for by 7:45 AM, will be the events they are swimming (no empty lanes, please!). If your swimmer is not signed-in/registered by 7:45 AM, they cannot swim. Thank you.
Swimsuits and caps. When competing, your swimmer should only be wearing Sharks or solid-colored suits and caps. No suits or caps with any other club or high school team or name lettering. And please, no rash guards.
Swimmer's Ribbons. If your swimmer does not want to receive Participation or Personal Best Ribbon(s) (Shark Kash will still be awarded, just without the ribbon), please provide the requested information at: Ribbon Recognition Withdraw Form. Please note, Personal Best Ribbons and Shark Kash will be awarded following this dual meet this weekend.
Parent relays. Remember to bring your suit. We'd love to see both a men's and women's parent relay at this meet.
Volunteering. All shifts have been filled! Thank you to those families who have signed up for a shift this weekend. Please refer to our Team Handbook regarding our Volunteer Policy. Kind reminder, no shows for volunteer shifts = cashed checks. If you can't fulfill your volunteer shift, please see the On-Call List to find a replacement.
