For those who want to participate in our parade to Almaden Dolphins, please meet at the Shadow Brook pool by 7:00 AM on June 6. This is a time-honored tradition and a great team-building event for our swimmers. For those with younger swimmers, we recommend wagons as the walk can be quite tiring for our 8 & unders. Bring your shakers, noise makers as we want our Sharks to make an entrance at this meet!
From Our Sharks Coaches:
- Order of events: Medley Relay, Butterfly, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Freestyle, Free Relay
- Relays will be happening at the beginning and end of the meet. Relay swimmers will be announced during the meet and may change.
- DO NOT leave the meet early unless it is approved by a coach, we need swimmers to stay in case they will swim in a relay and to cheer each other on
- Swimmers will swim a maximum of three events (decided by coaches), and are only allowed to scratch an event if approved by a coach
- Swimmers should write down their events and line up at the clerk at the course before their event begins
- Swimmers should be welcoming to the other team and be respectful by staying in the water until all swimmers touch the wall (25 yd) or the next heat dives over (50 yd)
- And remember to swim fast!!! GO SHARKS!!
Swimsuits and caps. We would appreciate it if your swimmer(s) only wear Sharks or generic suits and caps when competing. Kind reminder, no suits or caps with any other club or high school team name or lettering. And please, no rash guards.
Parent relays. Remember to bring your suit. We’d love to see both a men's and women's parent relay at this Almaden Dolphins meet.
Volunteering. The volunteer and on-call list were provided last night. If a volunteer is unable to fulfill their assigned shift, it is their responsibility to find a replacement; please use the on-call list to contact other people and let Sibel know of the requested change.
Go Sharks!
