Please see the message below from Sam Raimondi regarding Measure R funds (a $1.1 billion dollar funds to upgrade SJUSD facilities).

My name is Sam Raimondi. I am a long time Almaden Dolphin parent and coach. I am also currently the Leland High School Boys Water Polo assistant coach and one of our Leland Swim and Dive coaches. San Jose Unified recently passed Measure R, a $1.1 billion bond to upgrade SJUSD facilities. I am reaching out to you to help me advocate for a new pool at Leland High School. The current pool is almost 60 years old and no longer fits the needs of the Leland teams and our surrounding community. Last Spring I was hearing rumors that SJUSD was planning on replacing aging pools with new pools. Now I am hearing rumors that this plan may be shelved. 

I am gathering a list of people that would be interested in helping by going to the SJUSD School Board Meetings and speaking on behalf of the swimming and water polo community of Almaden. If you are interested in helping or at least staying informed, please email me at [email protected]and I will put you on my email list.
